Come join us in Alasta, defending the town of Caric from the danger of the Tarthoch woods, the oppression of Duke Gwaed and the remnants of Bludell’s last war. The Seal around Bludell has prevented enemies from pouring in, but it also prevents them from trading beyond the dale. Can you break the seal and reunite Bludell with the rest of Alasta?

The Story So Far
Another war has ignited between Austal and Bludell, started by the unprovoked assassination of
Prince Thimben Austriel IV by a Deller “diplomat.” While the reason for the assassination is
unclear, the outcome was expected: a full assault through Eirlithrad Pass. As with many wars,
this one approached a stalemate until Daarthold entered the war in 12007, citing the disappearance of the Shadow Gate.
By 12008, Bludell was losing the war, having been pushed back almost to Baelcast. Duchess
Eilidh Vernir fell in battle, and from the ranks rose Captain Gwaed Cynwrig, wielding the very
weapons of Austal against them. He helped drive the Austalese invaders back that day, giving
the city some breathing room. Not long after he took over rulership of Bludell, the land was
mysteriously sealed off from the rest of the Realm, trapping the remaining forces of Austal and
Daarthold within. The Sealing of the Dale, as it has become called, cut supply lines, and many
surrendered, lacking a means of escape or safe circles for Resurrection. A tenuous peace ensued, though rumours of some remaining forces still persist.
Over the intervening years, the lands have become more dangerous to traverse. Monsters stalk
the woods, the Duke has become more distant, and the guards he employs cover less and less
of the land. Communities at the edge of Bludell have felt the strain of the increased danger, finding protection in their own ways.
Caric has been without a contingent of guards for five years, and the Mayor’s calls for aid from
their ruler have fallen upon deaf ears. They seek protection for their town in these trying times
and the Shadow Titan has taken the call out through the Shadow Ways once more.
